Explorations
Explorations is our elementary-based program, for students in PreK4-6th grade. Students are grouped in multi-grade classes within specific age ranges to encourage the modeling of leadership and teamwork.
Explorations students explore the subjects of math, science, history, Latin, English grammar, and geography on a 4-year cycle. They also work to memorize hymns, scripture, and a timeline of world history each year. Explorations students are encouraged to participate in our Explorers Expedition awards program, which encourages the quarterly and annual memorization of memory work by subject.
In addition to memory work, students have the opportunity to participate in science experiments and presentations, and fine arts classes. Review time and weekly presentations help students to develop their rhetoric skills and demonstrate each week’s learning in front of their peer group.
The enrichment offered through these programs benefits the core learning that students do with parents at home the other 4 days of the week, providing a well-rounded and classical foundation to families’ home education programs.
